After that, he brought out a travel journal,\u00a0<em>The Gardens of the East Afflamed\u00a0<\/em>(<em>jana\u2019in al-sharq al-multahiba<\/em>) in 2015. Khatibi has also translated, to Arabic, a collection of poetry by Kateb Yacine titled\u00a0<em>Far from Nedjma<\/em>\u00a0(<em>Ba\u2019idan \u2018an Nedjma<\/em>). Khatibi can be read in Spanish, as his second novel\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/36tHwiw\"><em>Forty Years Waiting for Isabel<\/em><\/a>, was translated by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bailedelsol.org\/index.php?option=com_booklibrary&amp;task=view&amp;id=866\">Noemi Fierro Bandera<\/a>\u00a0(Baile del Sol editions, 2018).
