A <a class=\"css-1g7m0tk\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/citizenlab.ca\/2018\/09\/hide-and-seek-tracking-nso-groups-pegasus-spyware-to-operations-in-45-countries\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2018 investigation<\/a> by Citizen Lab, a cybersecurity research group based at the University of Toronto, uncovered the use of a spyware program known as Pegasus to attack the electronic devices of Togolese dissidents.
